How credits would work
- 1 credit to send interest on a job with a budget under $1,000 (or no budget), 2 credits for $1,000–5,000, 3 credits above $5,000.
- 5 free credits every month.
- Credits never expire.
- If the customer doesn't reply within 7 days, your credits come back automatically.
Right now sending interest is free and unlimited (normal anti-spam limits still apply).

The first 200 developers who complete their profile get the “Founding provider” badge, plus 50 bonus credits when paid extras switch on.

Is TakeoverWork really free?
Yes. Creating an account, posting takeovers, reading jobs, a basic developer profile, search and every free tool cost nothing. The site is supported by ads and clearly disclosed affiliate links.
Do you take a cut of the project payment?
No. TakeoverWork never handles project money — no commissions, escrow or transaction fees. You agree scope and payment directly with the person you choose.
When will the paid extras launch?
Only once the marketplace is working well for both customers and developers. Until then everything is free. Turn on “Notify me” to hear when they launch.
Will free accounts lose features when paid extras launch?
No. Posting, reading jobs, search, a basic profile and the free tools stay free. Developers also get 5 free credits every month for sending interest.
How will I pay?
Buyers outside India pay through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles VAT and sales tax. Buyers in India pay in rupees through Razorpay, including UPI. You can switch between them at checkout.
Can I get a refund?
A Takeover Brief is refunded if it isn't delivered within 7 days. Credits are non-cash and non-transferable, and unanswered interests refund their credits automatically after 7 days. Featured spots can't be refunded once they're live.
