If you have a complaint about content on TakeoverWork, about how an account has been treated, or about how we handle your personal data, you can contact our Grievance Officer. This page is published under India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Email is the fastest way to reach us. Please write in English if you can.
What you can complain about
- A listing, profile, message, question, answer or review that you believe is unlawful, breaks our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines or Prohibited Items list, or infringes your rights.
- Impersonation, or content that exposes your personal information without your consent.
- A decision we made about your content or account, such as removing a listing or suspending an account.
- How we collect, use, share or delete your personal data, including requests to access, correct or erase it, or to nominate someone to act for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
For everyday problems with your account or a listing, support@takeoverwork.com is usually quicker. For a specific listing or message, the Report button sends it straight to our moderation queue.
How quickly we respond
- Acknowledgement: within 24 hours of receiving your complaint.
- Resolution: within 15 days of receiving it. If we need more information from you, we will ask, and the time you take to reply is not counted.
- Urgent removals: complaints about content that exposes a person's private areas, shows nudity or sexual acts, or impersonates someone in that way are acted on within 24 hours. Requests to remove other content that is prohibited under the IT Rules are handled as quickly as possible and within 72 hours.

What to include
To help us act quickly, please include:
- Your name and email address, and your TakeoverWork account email if you have one.
- The link (URL) to the listing, profile, review or other content, or the date and other participant for a message.
- What the problem is, and which rule or law you believe it breaks.
- Your connection to it, for example whether you are the person shown, the rights holder, or someone acting for them. If you act for someone else, tell us how you are authorised.
- Supporting information, such as screenshots. Remove any passwords, keys or unrelated personal data first.
- For data protection requests, what you want us to do: send you a summary of your data, correct it, erase it, or record a nominee.
- A short statement that the information in your complaint is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request about an account or personal data. We will not ask for your password, and we do not accept identity document uploads through the platform.
If you are not satisfied
- Content decisions: if you are not satisfied with how the Grievance Officer resolved a complaint under the IT Rules, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India within 30 days of our decision.
- Personal data: if you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint about your personal data, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Outside India: if you are in the EEA or UK you may also contact your local data protection authority, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Legal requests from authorities
Government agencies and law enforcement with a lawful order should send it to grievance@takeoverwork.com with the subject line "Legal request". We review every request and respond as the law requires.
